Banana Peanut Butter Biscuits
Vegetarians, vegans, and anyone wishing to reduce the animal products from their furry friend’s diet will enjoy this easy recipe. The ingredients are:
2 ripe bananas
1 cup natural peanuts-only peanut butter
1 cup unbleached flour
¼ cup water
To make: preheat the oven to 350 F. Mash the bananas in a bowl, then add the peanut butter, flour, and water. Mix until a dough is formed. Roll the dough out smoothly with a rolling pin; using a dog bone shaped cookie cutter, cut the leveled mixture into cookies. Cook on a parchment paper covered cookie sheet for 15-20 minutes; let chill.
Pumpkin Apple Treats
The ingredients to make these mouth-watering treats include:
1 medium sized apple
½ cup of pumpkin
2 1/3 cups of unbleached flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 egg
½ cup water
Preheat oven to 350 F. Whisk the flour and baking powder together to remove any lumps. Add the apple diced, pumpkin, egg, and water; mix until dough forms. Roll out using a rolling pin and then cut into shapes. Place on a parchment paper covered cookie sheet; bake for 30 minutes until cookies are crisp. Cool before serving.
Bacon and Peanut Butter Treats
Dogs jump for joy when they smell this tasty snack. The ingredients are:
2 strips of cooked bacon
1 cup of peanuts only, smooth peanut butter
¾ cup of low-fat or nonfat milk
1 large egg
1/3 cup of oats
1 tbsp baking powder
2 cups of whole wheat flour.
After turning the oven on to 350 F, chop the bacon into small pieces. Add all the ingredients into a bowl and then mix them together until you have a nice soft dough. Roll the dough until it is ¼ inches; cut the cookies with shaped cutters. Bake on parchment paper spread over a cookie tray for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown on the one side. Flip the cookies over and cook for another 10-12 minutes, until the other side is also golden brown. Let them stand to cool, then serve.
Sweet Potato Banana Biscuits
These healthy treats are just as tasty as they are nutritious. Dogs enjoy the naturally sweet flavors of these mouthwatering snacks. The following ingredients are needed to make these yummy cookies:
1 ½ cups whole wheat flour
¼ cups whole oats
1 ripe banana, mashed
1 sweet potato cooked and mashed
1 large egg
After preheating the oven to 300 F, mix the mashed banana and sweet potato together. Add the rest of the ingredients together, mix to make a dough. Roll the dough to ¼ inch thick; if the dough becomes sticky, sprinkle flour over the surface and batter. Cut into cookies into shapes before laying them on parchment paper covered baking sheets. Bake for 45-60 minutes.
